ont le plaisir d’annoncer que le prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh 2015 est décerné à
Monsieur Valaire Yatat Djeumen
Valaire Yatat Djeumen est un étudiant camerounais en thèse de doctorat à l’Université́ de Yaoundé 1́. Sa thè̀se, qui porte sur la modélisation de systèmes écologiques, est dirigée conjointement par Jean Jules Tewa, de l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé et par Yves Dumont, du CIRAD à Montpellier. Le Prix lui permettra d’effectuer un séjour scientifique avec Yves Dumont à Montpellier dans le cadre de son doctorat.
Le prix Ibni a été créé en 2009 à la mémoire d’Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, mathématicien et homme politique tchadien, afin de poursuivre son engagement pour une formation de qualité des jeunes mathématiciens africains.
Il est décerné annuellement. Il permet à un étudiant d'un établissement d'Afrique centrale ou d'Afrique de l'Ouest, en mathématique ou statistique, en master ou en thèse, de faire un séjour scientifique dans un pays autre que le sien. Le récipiendaire est choisi après avis d’un conseil scientifique mis en place par le CIMPA, Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées. Les fonds nécessaires ont fait l’objet d’une souscription. Le prix bénéficie du support du CIMPA et du CDC-IMU (Committee for Developping Countries-International Mathematical Union).

are pleased to announce that the Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh Prize for 2015 is awarded to
Valaire Yatat Djeumen
Valaire Yatat Djeumen is a Cameroonian PhD student at the University of Yaoundé 1́. His thesis, which develops mathematical models of ecosystems, is jointly directed by Jean Jules Tewa, of Ecole Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique of Yaoundé and by Yves Dumont, of CIRAD in Montpellier, France. It will enable him to visit the research institute CIRAD in Montpellier, in the framework of his PhD.
The Ibni Prize has been created in 2009 by the French Mathematical Societies in the memory of Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh to continue his commitment to quality training of young African mathematicians.
The Prize "Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh" is awarded yearly to a student of an institution of Central Africa or West Africa, in mathematics or statistics, at the graduate or post-graduate level, to benefit from a scientific training in a country other than his/her own.
The winner is selected after review by a scientific committee appointed by CIMPA/ICPAM (International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics).
The prize has been funded by a subscription. It benefits from the support of CIMPA and CDC-IMU (Committee for Developing Countries-International Mathematical Union).
