Souscription pour la maison de chercheurs Jean Morlet
Dans le cadre de sa mission de conservation et de mise en valeur du patrimoine de proximité, la Fondation du Patrimoine, grâce au mécénat de la Fondation Total, a décidé d’apporter son soutien au CIRM pour la sauvegarde et la mise en valeur de la "Maison du jardinier".
Within the framework of its mission of preservation and development of the local cultural heritage, the french "Fondation du Patrimoine" has decided to support the CIRM for the preservation and development of the so-called "Maison du Jardinier", thanks to the sponsorship of the "Fondation Total".
De son côté, la SMF a décidé d'ouvrir une souscription pour participer à l'aménagement de la maison qui portera le nom de maison Jean Morlet. La SMF accompagnera ainsi une démarche entreprise il y a quelques années par les collègues et amis de Jean Morlet. Ce sera pour nous un moyen de rendre hommage au fondateur des ondelettes.
At the same time, the French Mathematical Society (SMF) has decided to open a subscription for the fitting out of the house which will bear the name of Jean Morlet. In that way, the SMF will continue the effort initiated some years ago by Jean Morlet's friends and colleagues. In doing so, we will honor the memory of the founder of wavelet theory.
