Conference to honor the memory of Haïm Brezis

Haïm Brezis passed away on July 7, 2024. He was professor emeritus at Sorbonne University. He was one of the pillars of the Numerical Analysis Laboratory, which later became the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory (LJLL). He was a member of the French Academy of Sciences, and his role in the development of applied mathematics, particularly functional analysis, was fundamental. His international renown and his passing lead us to honor his memory by organizing a scientific conference on the subjects that made him famous: functional analysis, partial differential equations, calculus of variations—the themes that are at the heart of the research carried out at LJLL.
