Proclamation des résultats du prix Ibni O. M. Saleh 2014
Anne Gégout-Petit, présidente de la Société Française de Statistique, Fatiha Alabau, présidente de la Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles, Marc Peigné, président de la Société Mathématique de France ont le plaisir d’annoncer que le prix Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh 2014 est décerné à
Monsieur David Jaurès Fotsa Mbogne.
David Jaurès Fotsa Mbogne est un doctorant camerounais, assistant à l’université de Ngaoundéré, qui effectue sa thèse sur le contrôle optimal des modèles d’équations de dérivées partielles en vue d'applications en épidémiologie et écologie, sous la direction de David Békollé. Le Prix lui est décerné pour lui permettre d’effectuer un séjour scientifique avec Etienne Pardoux à l'Université de Marseille dans le cadre de son doctorat.
Le prix Ibni a été créé en 2009 à la mémoire d’Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh, mathématicien et homme politique tchadien, afin de poursuivre son engagement pour une formation de qualité des jeunes mathématiciens africains.
Il est décerné annuellement. Il permet à un étudiant d'un établissement d'Afrique centrale ou d'Afrique de l'Ouest, en mathématique ou statistique, en master ou en thèse, de faire un séjour scientifique dans un pays autre que le sien. Le récipiendaire est choisi après avis d’un conseil scientifique mis en place par le CIMPA, Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées. Les fonds nécessaires ont fait l’objet d’une souscription.

Monsieur David Jaurès Fotsa Mbogne.
It will enable him to visit INRIA at Grenoble, France, in the framework of his PhD.
The Ibni Prize has been created in 2009 by the French Mathematical Societies in the memory of Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh to continue his commitment to quality training of young African mathematicians.
The Prize "Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh" is awarded to a student of an institution of Central Africa or West Africa, in mathematics or statistics, at the graduate or post-graduate level, to benefit from a scientific training in a country other than his/her own.
The winner is selected after review by a scientific committee appointed by CIMPA/ICPAM (International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics). The prize has been funded by a subscription.
