In the present article, we intend to show that the recruitment of French reviewers for the $Jahrbuch$ and the $Zentralblatt$ during the German Occupation of France combines political and scientific aspects. Indeed, around twenty French mathematicians - prisoners of war or not - worked for these reviewing journals between 1941 and 1944. This recruitment was organized by the Nazi mathematician Harald Geppert, with the help of Helmut Hasse and Gaston Julia, in order to compete against the $Mathematical$ $Reviews$ which were created in 1940. This fact, which was  partially studied by Reinhard Siegmund-Schultze in 1993, will be examined in all its complexity. In particular, we intend to describe the variety of behaviors adopted by French reviewers within this project of scientific collaboration, which was supported by the German occupation authorities. To this end, we will carefully describe their social trajectories during the period 1940-1944.
